Come check out the new Bobby Rush album titled “Decisions”, you’ll be glad you did!
Come join us and celebrate the 7th annual Record Store Day this Saturday, April 19th! There will be TONS of awesome, exclusive releases, we’ll be cooking out starting around 11:45, and we have EIGHT amazing bands that will be playing all afternoon long, just for you! We will open at 10am, but the line will start WAAAAYYY before that, so come early and hang out with some other vinyl junkies!
Most of you know about the releases already, but in case you don’t, you can get a nice preview of them by clicking here. Most of these are seeing their release on vinyl for the first time ever and if not, the first time in decades! Many will on color vinyl, and they’ll all be limited, so you will NOT want to miss out on them!
The rules for Record Store Day are as follows:
1. We will NOT hold anything, for anyone, period! These releases are super limited and to preserve the spirit of Record Store Day, they will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
2. We will have a VERY strict rule of one copy per title, per person! This is our attempt to make it as fair as possible, so everyone has a chance at getting that one special thing on their list.
3. ALL purchases must be made in person on the 19th! We will be WAY too busy to handle phone orders and it’s not fair to the person that camped out all night long to get that special release!
The bands that we have lined up run the gamut of styles, so we’ll have something for everyone! The lineup is as follows:
12pm: Knypho Knife
1pm: Jimi Squeezebox and the Cajun Gods of Zydeco
3pm: Mary Tylosaur
4pm: The Dogwood Vandals
5pm: Follow Apollo
6pm: Kane Root
7pm: Pen Pals
We hope to see each and every one of you on Saturday, whether it’s early in the morning or late in the evening, we hope you come spend a few minutes with us and celebrate independent record stores!
Tomorrow will see the release of an album of newly discovered Johnny Cash songs and we have an amazing opportunity for you to win a test pressing of the album titled “Out Among The Stars”. We also have it on CD and LP to purchase.
To enter, simply email me here with your name and a phone number!

The Drive-By Truckers released their new album today titled English Oceans and we have some of the very limited edition “bootleg” copies on vinyl. They are limited to 750 copies with hand-stamped numbers and on blue vinyl. Get one while you can, because when they’re gone, they’re GONE!
Just in case you haven’t seen us posting about it in the last 3 weeks, we’re going to have St. Paul and the Broken Bones in-store tomorrow, Feb 18th @ 6pm. This is an all ages event and is FREE to the public! We are doing a priority wristband with this in-store though, and what that means is when you buy the CD or LP and pick it up tomorrow, you’ll get a wristband and that will allow you to enter the store FIRST, before the general public can. It will also guarantee you an autograph of one item from the band. Also, the first 100 people to PICK UP their order, will receive a copy of the poster from the top of this post.
We hope to see each and everyone of you tomorrow at 6pm!
St. Paul and the Broken Bones In-store Update: We wanted to update everyone on the St. Paul and the Broken Bones in-store and let everyone know that we will be doing a priority wristband with this in-store!
What does that mean? You have to pre-order the CD or LP from us or purchase it on streetdate (2/18/14) and when you pick up the CD or LP, we’ll give you a wristband. That wristband will then get you into the priority line to gain access to the in-store first. The wristband will also guarantee you an autograph of one item from the band. We are not charging anyone to come to the in-store but the priority line will have first access and anyone else after that will be allowed in. Everyone MUST have a wristband to get into the priority line.
If you have any questions, please call the store at 205-758-1222 or email me firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have a chance for you to win an amazing soul prize pack featuring Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin! We’re giving away a tote bag filled with posters, and a 4 disc box set from each artist! To enter, simply email me here with your name and a phone number! Drawing will be held 2/12/14.
