We got the Shakes!

Once in a while, there comes a band that hits all the right notes, bears their soul, and catches fire so that the world can see their light. They’ve been referred to as a buzz band, a shooting star, THE band to listen to in 2012. They’ve been featured in such publications as Rolling Stone, the New York Times, L.A. Weekly, and NPR; they recently made their national television debut on Conan; and they have been playing to sold-out venues across the country. Yet, to us, they are still the friendly, down-to-earth band that played sweaty, packed, late-night gigs at our own hometown venues such as Egan’s and the Green Bar. They’re the band that made us believe in music again, made us boogie, and made us shake.

The Alabama Shakes, along with Tuscaloosa legends the Dexateens and Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires, will be returning to Tuscaloosa on Friday, March 23rd, to participate in the Well That’s Cool’s Tuscaloosa Get Up Tornado Relief Concert. Oz Music, in coordination with Well That’s Cool, is proud to announce that we will be hosting a Meet and Greet with the Alabama Shakes as part of our Oz Live! music series. This event will be held from 4 to 5 pm, will be completely free and open to the public, and is for all ages.
